Paul has brought a wealth of experience to DFDL Thailand and Vietnam. Prior to joining DFDL, he worked with Limcharoen Legal in Bangkok managing the workflow for their offices in Phuket, Samui, Ho Chi Minh City, and Bangkok. He has advised individual buyers, developers and investment groups on real estate investment in Vietnam and Thailand with specific emphasis on corporate structuring, acquisitions, and branding in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai. He has significant experience advising investors on negotiations with international hotel brands including Marriott International, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Hyatt Hotels, and advising international hotel brands on the intricacies of operating hotel management services in the emerging markets of Southeast Asia.
Head of Business Development Commercial property, South Asia
Since 2008 Cosimo has been Chief Representative of Hongkong Land Limited responsible for
covering Business Development of HKL Commercial Property in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi,
Bangkok, Phnom Penh and Yangon. Hongkong Land is one of Asia's leading property
investment, management and development groups. Founded in Hong Kong in 1889, the Group
has business interests across the region. Hongkong Land's business is built on partnership,
integrity and excellence. The Group has two existing buildings in Hanoi (63 Ly Thai To and
Central Building Hanoi) and two residential projects in HCMC (The Nassim in District 2 and the
Marq in District 1). HKL is seeking to do a large- scale city center project in Ho Chi Minh City as
well as a number of residential for sale projects. Hongkong Land is a member of the Jardine
In his spare time Cosimo is a Committee member of the HKBAV Group, a trustee Newborns
Vietnam and the Keswick Foundation in Hong Kong.
Vice President of development
As Vice President of Development, Mr. Ho is primarily responsible for sourcing fee management opportunities to expand the Oakwood portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. He joined the company in 1998 and has been here ever since.
In his time with Oakwood, Mr. Ho has been directly responsible for bringing in deals to Oakwood from Indonesia, China, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Australia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Phnom Penh, Vietnam and Thailand. Additionally, Mr. Ho is also responsible for contract negotiations and conducting and overseeing all financial feasibility and market research studies for Oakwood Worldwide (Asia).
Prior to joining Oakwood Worldwide (Asia) in 1998, Mr. Ho was Assistant Manager for Business Development for luxury serviced apartment operators Scotts Holdings Ltd., the creators of the Ascott and Palm Court brands. He was with Scotts Holdings for three years.
Mr. Ho also worked for noted hospitality and tourism consultants Horwath Asia Pacific from 1993 to 1995.
Mr Ho graduated with a degree in Business from the University of Buckingham.
Associate Director - Investment
Khuong was with VinaSecurities (VinaCapital’s arm) and Vietnam Partners LLC – The U.S. Investment Bank- as Head of Real Estate, in charge of R.E. projects and financing structure, working with local and foreign partners. Previously, Khuong served as Representative Officer for JICA D/D Study Team in Ho Chi Minh city for the Japanese ODA-funded approximately US$360mn Thi Vai - Cai Mep International Terminal project, where he played a key role in making the project come to life. Prior to JICA, Khuong worked for Montgomery Watson Harza – Meinhardt J/V (MWH J/V) as Deputy Project Manager on the startup phase of a large water supply project for Ho Chi Minh City with approximate €130mn in total by BOT fund.
Well known in the market place as the leading real estate investment broker in Vietnam, Khuong is also a regular spokesperson in both local and national media. Some of the successful deals that Khuong has worked on whilst with Savills include the sale of Saigon Tower to Daibiru in 2011, the sale of a significant development project to Sun Wah in 2012 and the sale of the Saigon South Residences project to Phu My Hung in 2015.
Khuong’s most recent deal set a new precedent for the Vietnam market, with the strata sale of the office space within a mixed use project located in HCMC. No such deal has ever been completed in Vietnam before and it demonstrates the team’s ability to not just broker the most significant deals in Vietnam, but also work on deal structuring for the most sophisticated of real estate projects.
Earlier in his professional career, Khuong held several managerial positions in strategic planning in thermal & hydro power plants, and oil field construction companies. Khuong is also the lecturer at several universities in Vietnam where he shares his academic and practical knowledge to the students.
